The notion that Viral Load Test detects quantified amounts of HIV is questionable

  • There is a suspicion that the Viral Load test is just a way of detecting and counting fragments of genes, not HIV

    • Viral loads are found in healthy people who test HIV negative

  • There is no scientific proof that high viral loads correlate with low CD4 or illness

    • There are cases of having high viral loads and high T CD4 count which is contradictory

    • There are cases of having low viral loads and low CD4 count which is contradictory
